Her Cup

Breathe life into my tied soul

      o’ stormy seas before me

Tired and weak and lost in love

      be this mortal man

Give all I have do I

In love, in lust, I fill her

Drain my life force into my love

      exhaust myself in passion

How willing do I give to her

now my inner light is fading

Why does she not see

      what she does to me?

Her cup now runneth over

Give some of these tears back to me

      blessed by your loving warmth

Yet the more I give, the more I lose

      when will I ever learn?

But a fool not I be

For I have my love, the sea

My constant companion here with me

Thou fillest mine essence anew

      kindle the fading light

Rewarming the passion within

So that I may give still more

To this blessed woman of light

Her Cup
