Steal The Moment

Fleeting time be it before me

Immaculate be thy spring morn

Crisp be thy chill

Dew all around me

Thine water a mirror be

Rising sun me blindeth

Yet rusheth off must I

Squander this miracle at the office must I

Oh to have the life of a writer

to bathe daily in this happening

But ’tis quality not quantity that counteth

A few fleeting moments have I

Throw out the usual morning routine

Get out there

Be one with all

Steal the moment

Don’t let it pass

For brief be this meeting

Drink it up

Admire its wonder

Give your thanks to nature

Feel your batteries re-charging

Now life to life

Together are we

Flip sides of one coin

At this moment true peace be here

Now the world of man me beckons

Snap the trance must I

New strength she brings me from our encounter

Off to work be I

Your magic stored within me

To the world of altered nature moveth I

to the bodies of trees formed to structures

to the molding of earth towering upwards

within the perversion of its holy substance am I

Searcheth throughout the day for an opening do I

   then looketh upward do I

   the passing clouds, me strengthen

help bridge the gap, till the end of the day

When returneth to the source do I

Steal the Moment
