My First Love

My First Love

Alone at last be I with my thoughts

Gazing to the horizon out o’er the sea

Senseth I thine essence

Cometh to me upon sea’s wings

Still be thine mind today

Cool blue at rest is the bay

Whispering wind toucheth the surface of thine face

Flow on above thine changing lace

Shimmering changes on to darker hue

To thee I have come to rendezvous

Trespass may I upon thee?

For in thee reflecteth me

Born was I from thy womb

And ‘tis here still I loom

What bliss to be with thee

     open to all be me

Reveal thine fold for me to see

     together we hold the key

Inseparable from this fruit of life

Be I on this and all of days

Here, free at last from all strife,

Basking in the love of your plays

How I adore such splendid theatre

Here at one with Mother Nature?

Entrusted to each are we

In perfect loving harmony

Why hath we created such a knife

to cutteth us from thine precious life

Now with thee disolveth mine chains

free at last together we meet

      blending

            melting

                        dissolving

                                    to one

At long last one mind we be

From womb to tomb

      and back to womb

      reborn with thee

Mine first love

      mine last
